These results are consistent with the results of previous studies, which reported that exercise significantly increased circulating BDNF and VEGF levels in subjects with obesity [11,44,45] and significantly decreased eotaxin-1 levels [43,46], suggesting that resistance exercises can be effective for ameliorating neurogenesis by increasing NTF expression and reducing eotaxin-1 levels similar to that by endurance exercises. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
