The signaling protein roles of RELN in the migration of neurons and neural connection could explain the RELN abnormalities in patients with ASD [141,142,143,144,145] along with Alzheimer’s disease [146,147], schizophrenia [148,149], lissencephaly [150,151], and bipolar disease [149]. This evidence concerns the gene RELN and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
