Use of ACEIs/ARBs also increased the incidence of CIAKI in various patient subgroups, especially in those with high risk factors such as age >70 yrs (OR: 2.21, 95% CI: 1.47-3.33; P<0.001), contrast volume ≥300 mL (OR: 3.61, 95% CI: 1.68-7.75; P=0.001), eGFR <60 mL/min/1.73 m2 (OR: 3.11, 95% CI: 1.64-5.90; P<0.001), anemia (OR: 2.05, 95% CI: 1.14-3.67; P=0.016), albumin <35 g/L (OR: 3.59, 95% CI: 1.92-6.71; P<0.001), uric acid > 420 μmol/l (OR: 2.20, 95% CI: 1.28-3.76; P=0.004) and proteinuria (OR: 3.34, 95% CI: 1.66-6.72; P=0.001) (Figure 3).
