LIMD1 and lung cancer: Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein U (hnRNP U), also known as scaffold attachment factor (SAF)‐A, participates in the regulation of mRNA transporting and processing.19, 20, 21 Recent reports show the implication of hnRNP U in modulating DNA damage response and cell apoptosis.22, 23 In lung cancer, hnRNP U is reported to be downregulated,24 and reduces β‐catenin expression by β‐TrCP to inhibit lung cancer progression.25 Notably, hnRNP U is a regulator of mRNA stability.24, 26, 27 However, the interaction of hnRNP U with LIMD1 and LIMD1‐AS1 has not been reported.
