Sarcopenia in the absence of obesity was associated with an increased risk of albuminuria (Table 3, adjusted HR: 1.35 [95% CI, 1.09–1.67]) after adjustment for age, sex, SBP, HbA1c, LDL-C, HOMA-IR, CRP, eGFR and use of antihypertensive medications (model 4).
