RfflTD had severe hypertension compared with its control wild-type S rat (Cheng et al., 2017), and the unbiased quantitative proteomics study suggested that RfflTD also had hematologic disease due to the downregulation of haptoglobin and HGB (Fig. 1), which was further confirmed by the standard CBC test in a separate batch of animals (Fig. 2). The gene discussed is HP; the disease is hypertensive disorder.
