Since GLUD1 is in LD with SHLD2/FAM35A, for which we previously showed a significant association with gout,7 all of these five loci were previously identified as having an association with gout.6 7 We also detected nine suggestive loci: SMYD3, GCKR-C2orf16, SMARCC1, FRMD4B-MITF, ARL4A-ETV1, C7orf66-EIF3IP1, ASB10, PXDNL and LOC100287896-POLD3, for RUE type gout as shown in online supplementary table S4. The gene discussed is ETV1; the disease is gout.
