E. coli infection resulted in the upregulation of the genes encoding proteases, which participate in the degradation of ECM, namely, ADAM10 (logFC of 2.62), ADAM17 (logFC of 8.75), MMP9 and MMP14 (both with a logFC of 2.58), CAPN7 and CAST (both with logFC of 2.20). This evidence concerns the gene MMP14 and escherichia coli infection.
