MAPK7 and ischemia: The current study has shown MAPK7 phosphorylation was boosted after short-term MI, however, total MAPK7 expression declined in prolonged ischemia-stressed myocardium.Such an oscillation of phosphorylation and expression indicated that MAPK7 activation might manifest a biological function during acute hypoxia, while MAPK7 loss triggers the downstream signaling defects.
