Addition of CRP to a logistic regression model, comprising age, sex, region, smoking, diabetes, BMI, SBP, LDL-C, HDL-C, and TG, yielded small improvements in the C-statistic for MCE (0.7181[95% CI: 0.7028–0.7334] to 0.7251 [95% CI: 0.7101–0.7402]) which were significant by DeLong’s test, but there were smaller differences in the AUCs for IS and ICH (Table S3).
