Except for a lower level of serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and lower left ventricular ejection fraction, the patients with a high level of hsCK-MB had significantly higher baseline rates of hypertension, systolic blood pressure, serum creatinine, history of type 2 diabetes mellitus, body mass index and fasting glucose than those with a low level of hsCK-MB (Table 2).
