Previously, Mueller et al. (59) demonstrated that only OCT3/4B is present in cell lines of somatic tumors (colorectal carcinoma cells, thyroid carcinoma, cervical carcinoma, head and neck carcinoma, non–small cell lung carcinoma hepatoma, breast carcinoma, ovarian carcinoma, prostate carcinoma, neuroblastoma, glioblastoma, and melanoma) (59).
