Levels of p-Akt relative to t-Akt (which also mediates cardiac hypertrophy), were significantly decreased in the WT treated compared to the WT control mice (P = 0.014) and in the Hsp20-S10F treated and compared to the Hsp20-S10F control mice (P = 0.012, Fig 5B). Here, AKT1 is linked to cardiac hypertrophy.
