ALB and Sepsis: Thirteen studies [29, 31–34, 37, 39–42, 44, 45, 48, 78] described significant lower histopathological grading when sepsis animals were treated with acupuncture, as well as lower wet-to-dry ratio (W/D) [32–34, 36–42, 44, 51], higher oxygenation indexes [34, 39, 40, 44], and less bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) albumin concentrations [39], indicating that acupuncture at ST36 might be effective in reducing sepsis-induced lung injury.
