In animal experiments, moxibustion in this position of mice can be observed that moxibustion has therapeutic effect on atherosclerotic lesions, alleviates its pathological process, alleviates the development of atherosclerotic plaques, plays a benign regulatory role in the metabolism of blood lipids, reduces blood lipids, regulates hyperlipidemia and as model animal serum TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, apo-a/apo-B, and atherosclerosis index (AI), upregulates LXRα- and ABCA1-mediated cholesterol efflux in the lesion area, and improves the function of liver lipid metabolism [18–20, 46]. This evidence concerns the gene NR1H3 and hyperlipidemia.
