Targeted and restricted Lmo2 expression in mouse HSCs, by placing LMO2–TdTomato cDNA under the control of the stem-cell-specific Sca1 promoter, resulted in a highly disseminated human-like T acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL), with the resulting leukaemia cells lacking expression of Lmo2. This evidence concerns the gene LMO2 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
