Results showed that the IUGR pigs had lower enzymatic antioxidant (GPX, CAT, and POD) activities than the NBW pigs, and dietary-added 200 mg/kg curcumin significantly increased the enzymatic antioxidant (CAT, SOD and POD) activities in leg muscles but did not show significant effects on the nonenzymatic capacity (contents of GSH and TSH) and T-AOC. The gene discussed is CAT; the disease is fetal growth restriction.
