Notably, the predominance of CD8+ T-cell in the CNS of mice (Study 2) resembles that seen at MS lesion sites where the key steps include recruitment and clonal expansion (Hauser et al., 1986; Friese and Fugger, 2005), with CD8+ outnumbering CD4+ T-cells by 3–10 fold (Booss et al., 1983; Babbe et al., 2000). The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is myeloid sarcoma.
