Each of these upstream regulators has been implicated in cardiac development and remodeling, heart failure, myocyte injury and repair, consistent with our findings that developmental and extracellular matrix pathways are altered following CYP2J2 suppression (Fig. 6), and reduced protein expression of CYP2J2 in heart tissue of patients with cardiomyopathy (Fig. 1).
