Collectively, these data indicate that the reduced ability of 3d and TLR7/9/13 triple KO mice to control infection is associated with reduced early neutrophil influx in the lung and brain and with markedly impaired production of neutrophil chemokines and proinflammatory cytokines, particularly IL-12p70 and gamma interferon (IFN-γ). This evidence concerns the gene TLR7 and infection.
