In the research conducted by Zhu et al. titled “Stroma-derived fibrinogen-like protein 2 activates cancer-associated fibroblasts to promote tumor growth in lung cancer”, they found that FGL2 could promote tumor growth of lung cancer by activating cancer-associated fibroblasts using a mouse model of Lewis lung carcinoma (Zhu et al., 2017).
