Among the genes, knockdown of TIGAR expression most efficiently suppressed the malignant phenotypes of ESCC cells, with the rates of cell-proliferation inhibition being 44.2% (P = 0.002) in KYSE450 and 40.3% (P = 0.002) in KYSE510 compared with controls (Figure 1B).
