Interestingly, we identified BRCA1 c.5096G>A in one woman with breast cancer and BRCA1 c.5407-25T>A in two women with breast cancer in our previous DNA-BONus study, where all women with newly diagnosed breast or ovarian cancer were offered BRCA genetic testing, regardless of family history or age [10]. Here, BRCA1 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
