A recent meta-analysis that analyzed 276 studies and 14 second-generation antidepressants, evaluated somnolence in patients undergoing treatment for major depression, reported that fluvoxamine (NET = 1,892 nM, 5-HT2C Ki = 6,700 nM) and mirtazapine (H1 inverse agonist Ki=0.14 nM, 5-HT2C Ki = 39 nM) resulted in the highest odds of somnolence (Alberti et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene HTR2C and Coma.
