In addition, we depleted the expression of S6K1 in three HCC cell lines including Hep3B, PLC5 and HepG2, followed by functional and transcriptomic analyses, to understand the role of S6K1 in HCC and the mechanisms underlying the hepatocarcinogenicity of S6K1, respectively. The gene discussed is RPS6KB1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
