CXCL5 and colorectal cancer: It was reported that elevated CXCL5 was a significant and independent prognostic factor of survival in all colorectal cancer patients and that CXCL5 promoted the proliferation, migration and partial invasion of cancer cells26, while in another study, high expression of CXCL5 was significantly associated with a good prognosis of colorectal cancer patients, possibly due to intratumoral CD8+ T cell infiltration27.
