By binding to PS, annexin A5, diannexin [a recombinant annexin A5 homodimer with a longer circulating half-life than annexin A5 and a 10-fold higher binding affinity to PS (138, 139)] and lactadherin inhibit thrombus formation in vitro and in animal models of arterial and venous thrombosis (139–145).
