Some invasive forms of breast cancer (i.e. locally advanced breast cancer) presented a twofold higher incidence than the others, suggesting an urgent improvement of Trastuzumab (HerceptinTM) delivery toward erbB2 tyrosine kinase receptor (HER-2) found overexpressed in ∼25%–30% of breast cancers (Sawaki et al., 2006). This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
