The obtained results displayed that CBD attenuates liver steatosis (decreased triacylglyceride and fat droplet accumulation), inflammatory response [reduced the alcohol-feeding induced mRNA expressions of interleukin 1beta (IL1β), TNF-α and monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP1)], oxidative/nitrative stress (reduced lipid peroxidation, expression of reactive oxygen species generating enzyme—NADPH oxidase 2 (NOX2) and 3-nitrotyrosine production) and neutrophil infiltration in the liver (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and fatty liver disease.
