After starvation, the phosphorylation of EGFR in ESCC cells was very low, and EGF substantially stimulated the activation of EGFR, but EGF-induced phosphorylation of EGFR was substantially suppressed by ILQ in a dose- and time-dependent manner (Figures 2(b) and 2(c)), suggesting that ILQ inhibited EGFR in a direct way. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
