PTA (OR = 0.908, 95% CI: 0.891–0.926, p < 0.001), TBIL (OR = 1.003, 95% CI: 1.002–1.004, p < 0.001), age (OR = 1.037, 95% CI: 1.022–1.053, p < 0.001), serum sodium (OR = 0.923, 95% CI: 0.892–0.955, p < 0.001), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) (OR = 0.995, 95% CI: 0.991–0.999, p = 0.009), gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) (OR = 0.996, 95% CI: 0.993–0.999, p = 0.006), HE (OR = 5.623, 95% CI: 2.358–10.891, p < 0.001) and hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) positive rate (OR = 0.616, 95% CI: 0.429–0.884, p = 0.009) were significantly associated with 28-day mortality (Table 2).
