Angelica sinensis, a traditional Chinese medicine, has been widely used to treat bone diseases including bone fractures, osteoporosis and osteonecrosis.1, 2, 3 AS suppresses RANKL‐induced osteoclastogenesis,5, 6 osteoporosis7 and osteonecrosis of the femoral head.1 However, the active component and mechanisms underlying its activity were unclear. This evidence concerns the gene TNFSF11 and osteonecrosis.
