The purpose of this pilot study was to clarify whether expression of Snail, as determined by immunohistochemistry, can help predict the long-term survival outcome of cervical carcinoma patients and to compare its value to that of an epithelial marker (E-cadherin), transcription factors (Slug, ZEB1, Twist), a mesenchymal marker (Vimentin), and another marker (Survivin). Here, SNAI1 is linked to cervical carcinoma.
