VIM and cervical carcinoma: IHC staining also showed that other transcription factors and markers, including Slug, ZEB1, Twist, Vimentin, and Survivin proteins, were more highly expressed in cervical carcinoma compared with normal tissues, at 55.2% (112/203) vs. 48.2% (27/56), P = 0.355; 51.2% (104/203) vs. 42.9% (24/56), P = 0.267; 53.2% (108/203) vs. 41.1% (23/56), P = 0.108; 55.7% (113/203) vs. 32.1% (18/56), P = 0.002; and 56.7% (115/203) vs. 42.9% (24/56), P = 0.067, respectively (Supplementary Table S1).
