Sonoda et al. [26] also demonstrated that dental pulp stem cells isolated from teeth with irreversible pulpitis and treated with 100 ng/mL IFN-γ showed increased expression of osteoblast-specific genes, such as Runx2, alkaline phosphatase, and osteocalcin, after proinflammatory stimulation with IFN-γ. The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is pulpitis.
