We focused our studies on two different genetic backgrounds, control group (C57BL/6J) which does not have a genetic predisposition to schizophrenia or schizotypic disorders, and the test group that is genetically predisposed (129S strain with C-terminal truncation of DISC1 gene) on a behavioral test battery (Brixey et al., 1993; Krystal et al., 1994; Ellenbroek and Riva, 2003; Koike et al., 2006). This evidence concerns the gene DISC1 and schizotypal personality disorder.
