The DISC1 mutation is known to associate with a neurological disorder in about 33.3% of the large Scottish population where the mutation is present, with members of the family exhibiting schizophrenia, bipolar and major depression disorders etc. In the present study, DISC1 mutation animals exhibited decreased sociability, novelty (Figure 1), mobility time in forced swim and tail suspension test (Figures 3, 4A). Here, DISC1 is linked to schizophrenia.
