Our previous studies demonstrated that Fli-1 regulates cytokine and chemokine expression in MRL/lpr mice and modulates production of critical mediators associated with lupus nephritis, including monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), Regulated on Activation, Normal T Cell Expressed and Secreted (RANTES), granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF), chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 2 (CXCL2), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) [10,11,12,13,14,15]. The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is lupus nephritis.
