Several of these genes, e.g., EIF1AY, USP9Y, ZFY, TMSB4Y, have been used as gender-specific tissue biomarkers for both normal and tumoural tissues [57,58,62,63]; corticotrope adenomas can now be added to the list of tissues presenting these markers of sexual dimorphism.
