A fusion gene, RUNX1-RUNX1T1, is well recognized as an important diagnostic and prognostic marker frequently observed in acute myeloid leukemia, according to the French–American–British classification M2 subtype (AML-M2), which was first identified in the Kasumi-1 cell line [9, 10]. Here, RUNX1T1 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
