Similar to miR-205, INPPL1 has an important prognostic value, but interestingly it does not contribute additional prognostic information to miR-205, supporting the hypothesis that miR-205 influences melanoma clinical aggressiveness, and therefore patient survival through the inhibition of, at least, its herein newly described pro-oncogenic INPPL1 target gene.
