Accordingly, we tested the association of RAD52 S346X with risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer in a large cohort of BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation carriers from the Consortium of Investigators of Modifiers of BRCA1/2 (CIMBA) (Chenevix‐Trench et al., 2007). The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
