Consequently, targeting NF-κB that is involved in the resistance of pancreatic cancer cells to cisplatin (Dizon et al., 2005; Godwin et al., 2013; Tamburrino et al., 2013) with integrin αvβ3 receptor antagonists might have great potential for development of novel preventive or therapeutic agents to overcome resistance and alleviate peripheral neuropathy in cisplatin-mediated pancreatic cancer therapies.
