SLC2A1‐AS1 inhibited HCC cell aerobic glycolysis and progression through inactivating the key glycolytic transporter GLUT1, which is coded by the opposite strand coding gene SLC2A1. In detail, competitive binding of SLC2A1‐AS1 to the transcriptional factor STAT3 inactivates the FOXM1/GLUT1 axis in HCC cells. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
