To test the accuracy of the cut-off value (350 ng/mL peripheral blood total IgE) for allergy diagnosis, we collected samples from another 50 allergic patients and 50 healthy people; 92.0% of the allergic patients had a peripheral blood total IgE level >350 ng/mL, while only 2.0% of the healthy people had a peripheral blood total IgE level >350 ng/mL (data not shown).
