In this work, acethylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activity of new condensed 1,4- and 1,5-benzoxazepines was tested as well as neuroprotective activities against hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), β-amyloid25–35 fragment (Aβ25–35) and oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD)-induced neurotoxicity in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells and a 1,5-benzoxazepine derivative was identified to have AChE inhibitory activity with 6.98 × 10−6 mol/L IC50 value. The gene discussed is ACHE; the disease is neuroblastoma.
