PTK2 and small cell lung carcinoma: A recent study demonstrated that oridonin inhibits MDA‐MB‐231 human breast cancer cell migration and invasion in vitro possibly by decreasing the levels of local adhesion kinase (FAK).17 FAK, a non‐receptor protein tyrosine kinase, is a key component in initiating downstream signalling that promotes cell migration.35 According to a previous study, both FAK and phospho‐FAK are highly expressed in SCLC cell lines,10 and the increased expression of phospho‐FAK was correlated with spreading, adhesion and migration in SCLC cells.
