Further exploration revealed that overexpressed HIF-1α/miR-128-3p in the MPTP-lesioned mouse model of PD exerted inhibitory effects on hippocampal neuron apoptosis through down-regulation of Axin1, by which the suppressive action on the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway was weakened. This evidence concerns the gene AXIN1 and Parkinson disease.
