The results illustrated the enrichment of regulatory regions in immune cells, potentially driven by markers in the MHC, and in a follow-up study by the same group, they further demonstrated that non-MHC markers showing evidence of association (i.e., p < 1 × 10−4), when comparing PsA vs PsC, are significantly and specifically enriched with H3K27ac marks for osteoblasts, and those loci overlapping with chromatin marks encompass genes participating in the Wnt signaling pathway [32, 33••]. This evidence concerns the gene HLA-C and pancreatic serous cystadenoma.
