MPO and coronary artery disorder: For CHD, most of the risk was explained by the lipid related pathway (represented by HDL-cholesterol, Lp(a), secretory phospholipase A2 group IIA (sPLA2-IIA), and total cholesterol, 9%), the stress and antioxidant pathway (represented by heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70), myeloperoxidase (MPO), and oxidized LDL (ox-LDL), 7%) as well as the myocardial injury pathway (represented by Troponin I, 7%).
