Patients in the higher DD group were significantly older, more likely to have anemia and worse renal function, had higher baseline of NT-proBNP, cholesterol, low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), fibrinogen, INR, Mehran score, and had a higher percentage of perioperative hypotension, use of contrast volume and IABP, but lower diastolic blood pressure and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The gene discussed is NPPB; the disease is anemia.
