ACHE and Alzheimer disease: This outcome may be positive, as in the case of treatment of diseases where the transitory, reversible inhibition of AChE located in the central nervous system (CNS) delivers valuable response, e.g., AD, or negative, when toxic chemicals, such as nerve agents (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3 and Figure 4) or organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides (Figure 8), cause irreversible inhibition at neuromuscular junctions, which may be life-threatening [53,54,94,95,96,97,98,99,100,101,102,103].
